What is Threading?

Threading is an ancient method of hair removal, originating in India and the Middle East. We use a cotton thread and twist it, catching tiny hairs in the twists of the thread.   It is all-natural and uses no chemical or heat, unlike waxing. It is also extremely precise, since our talented threading artists remove one line of hairs at a time.  While not completely painless, we do our best to make sure you are as comfortable and the process is as speedy as possible.

How long does threading take?

Threading eyebrows takes about 5-10 minutes depending on your eyebrow shape and the thickness of your hair. If you thread your whole face it takes about 20-25 minutes.

Do I need to book an appointment?

For all threading services are walk-ins only. All other services takes walk ins as long as there is a licensed beauty technician available to do the service. We ask for eyelash, makeup and facial services that you call or go into your local salon and book an appointment. We have a digital sign in sheet and ask that once you get to the mall you sign in at www.browarc.com and enter you name, phone number and service requested and we will text you when its your turn to come into the salon for service.

How often should threading be done?

Hair regrowth can vary from person to person but we recommend between every two to four weeks. Since threading removes hair from the root like waxing, it lasts just as long.

What are the after care for threaded eyebrows?

1. Apply aloe vera gel or rose water to help soothe the irritation.

2. Avoid exposing freshly-threaded brows to direct sunlight, steam or chlorinated water for 24 hours. The area is highly sensitive post-threading and sun exposure can cause sunburn or inflammation .

What do I need to do while you are threading my brows?

We will ask our clients to gently hold their skin tight to help us get a precise shape of the eyebrow. The client will be asked to put one hand on top of your eyelid and the other hand on your forehead to stretch the skin. This helps prevents more pain and helps us achieve the desired brow shape.
